This module is dedicated to understanding and having an initial experience about the “human side” of management and entrepreneurship that is so crucial for the success of any modern organization. Indeed, it is well known that an organization’s most competitive asset is its people. We will present the main concepts related to the Organizational Behaviour (OB) field, nothing else that the field of studies concerning the “organizational life” existing in any firm, thus related to the individual behaviors and inter-personal dynamics occurring in an organizational setting, also in terms of leading a group. The students will improve the understanding of their own actual future working environment, improve the management of their business and career, and will develop skills related to working with and leading other people, a key factor highly sought by entrepreneurs, managers and organizations.

Massimiliano Pellegrini, PH.D.

Professor of Leadership & Organizational Behavior

Dr. Massimiliano M. Pellegrini is an Associate Professor of Organizational Studies and Entrepreneurial behavior at University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, from which he also received his Ph.D. in 2011. Previously, he was a Senior lecturer at Roehampton University Business School. During his career, he was a lecturer at Princess Sumaya University for technology (Jordan), and University of West-London (UK) and had visiting positions at Wharton School (US), University of Warsaw (Poland), Central University of Finance and Economics (China). He is currently coordinating two tracks at European Academy of Management (EURAM), and he also chaired until 2018 the Strategic Interest Group of Entrepreneurship (E-ship SIG).

His research interests and publications are focused on entrepreneurial, ethical and organizational decision making and behaviors, also in the light of recent technological evolutions as the 4.0 era advent. He published more than 60 contributions especially in highly-ranked journals e.g., J. of Business Research, Int. Small Business J., J. of Business Ethics, Small Business Economics, IEEE Transaction on Engineering Management, and J. of Managerial Psychology. He is the editor of the book series “Entrepreneurial behaviour” published by Emerald.
